To secure stable and profitable operation in 2009 and to achieve further development,
Synergon has launched preventive measures in this year’s last quarter, which focus
on further reduction of operating costs. Cost reduction has an impact on wages
and personnel-type expenditures, as well.
Cutback is implemented in several steps starting this November and finalized
at the end of March 2009. The process will not endanger the implementation and
completion of tasks in progress and the problem-free re-planning and optimization
of processes due to changes in conditions.
The planned number of employees involved in cutback at the end of the entire
process is 43.
The Company wants to underline that dismissals forced by the financial and economic
situation have in all cases been implemented in line with legal regulations and
the employee-friendly business policy of Synergon. The Company also assists its
former employees in finding new jobs after the termination of employment in the
function of their needs and opportunities.
Synergon Management strongly believes that in the present situation the above
steps can maintain the competitiveness of the company, its stable and calculable
operation while retaining jobs, as well.
